Isle of Dogs River Festival

Isle of Dogs River Festival will be a day of celebration of the River and the communities that live by it.

• Showcase of different ways we value and enjoy the space: activities, stalls, exhibitions
• Chance to safely experience the foreshore for the first time
• Opportunity to learn about the river: nature and environment, history, how to safely enjoy it
• Space for different areas of the community to come together and have fun! Music, food and games

The event will be facilitated by Thames21 but contributed to by variety of community organisations including: One Housing, Island History Trust, Island Network, Healthy Island Partnership, Tower Hamlets Regeneration Team and many more.

The logistics of the event will be a fete-like set up with stalls, activities, and a ‘stage’ area for performances. The majority of the event will take place on the foreshore with PLA permission but the hardstanding area would allow us to maximise the success of the above aims.
