Come and learn how to take amazing photos on the foreshore of the Thames in celebration of Talk Like A Pirate Day with professional photographer Jeanette Lendon. The foreshore is a unique vantage point to capture, celebrate and raise awareness of London’s trash and treasure and join in with the fantastic #TreasureYourRiver campaign. Your photos will exhibited online afterwards where the public will be able to vote for those they think best convey our themes: PEOPLE, PIRATES, PLACE and PLASTIC.
After an hour of workshop, we will give you time to take your pictures followed by a clean-up of the site, making sure we leave it better than we found it!
This event welcomes everyone including photography beginners and those who are yet to explore the wonder of London’s foreshores. If there’s anything we can do to enable your attendance contact us and we will do our best to help.
We provide the wellies and equipment. Please just dress appropriately for the weather. If the weather looks unfavourable we will cancel the event by 5pm on 18th September. Please check your email after then.
Note: this event is for children aged 9 or above. Children between 9 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
